Results: In the matter of how to obtain information, the findings have confirmed that the educational program of Tehran University includes field visits; design thinking; Studying in the library or familiarizing students with large-scale or master plans. However, there is a gap in discussing ideas with the employer. According to the research findings on the information and tasks needed, one of the program's shortcomings is that it doesn't give students more practical knowledge to help them decide if the land in issue is appropriate or unfit. The findings regarding the issue of how to deliver the necessary documents further supported the notion that one of this program's weaknesses is its disregard for the student's writing abilities.
Conclusions and recommendations: The educational curriculum for the bachelor's degree in architecture approved by the University of Tehran is mainly compatible with the skills needed to execute a schematic design in common architectural contracts. However, including topics related to information gathering techniques or report writing in architecture or practical location of users can reduce existing gaps.
